Ingredients
2 1/2cupsKetchup
1/2cupHoney(Can reduce to 1/4 cup honey for less-sweet sauce)
1/4cupApple cider vinegar
2teaspoonsLiquid smoke
2TablespoonsMinced fresh onion
2TablespoonsBrown sugar
1/4teaspoonCoarse salt
1/2teaspoonChili powder
1/2teaspoonOnion powder
1/2teaspoonGarlic powder
1/8teaspoonCayenne pepper
Instructions
Place all ingredients in a heavy nonreactive saucepan and stir to mix. Over medium heat, gradually bring the sauce to a simmer, stirring often.
Reduce the heat and allow sauce to simmer gently about 10 minutes.
Use immediately or refrigerate in a glass jar for several weeks.
