Throwback Thursday

by Texas Homesteader

I don’t know about you but I’m pretty tired of Ole Man Winter these days.  It’s times like these when I’m *so* anxious to get my hands in the dirt that I’m able to pacify that need by planting what I call my “Indoor Greenhouse”. This way I’m able to use my heirloom seeds but still have the advantage of planting seedlings in the garden come spring.

So to celebrate Throwback Thursday I’m falling back into the archives and bringing back to the surface a very popular (and timely) post for you to enjoy. You’re not gonna believe how self-contained everything is for my indoor greenhouse – check it out, y’all!

Those clear plastic things that bedding comes in also make for great little greenhouses

Can’t do much out side at the moment so you got a good time to be starting your seeds.
We have roughly right around 2 inches of snow here and the roads are getting rather slick. Hubby went into work this afternoon and it took him just alittle over a hour and he already said that in Arlington that sleet was starting to come down and the Home Depot parking lot is pretty slick but needless to say, there weren’t many customers. The parking lot was pretty empty I guess. From Arlington he heads over to Sam’s Club in Grand Prairie to work so I can imagine how the roads will be by 8pm and he won’t get home till sometime in the morning.
